Terms & Conditions – Boat Bay Kerala

Welcome to Boat Bay Kerala. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions mentioned below.

1. Booking Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed only after receiving the required advance payment.
  • The balance amount must be paid before or at the time of check-in unless otherwise agreed.
  • Booking confirmation details will be shared via WhatsApp, email, or phone.

2. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in Time: 12:00 PM
  • Check-out Time: 9:00 AM
  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and additional charges.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellation 7 days before check-in: Full refund (excluding bank/transaction charges).
  • Cancellation 3–6 days before check-in: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation within 48 hours of check-in or no-show: No refund.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.

4. Weather & Natural Conditions

  • Houseboat operations are subject to weather, water level, and government regulations.
  • In case of unavoidable situations (heavy rain, flood, technical issues), the cruise route or timing may be adjusted.
  • No refunds will be provided for route changes caused by natural or uncontrollable factors.

5. Guest Responsibilities

  • Guests must carry valid ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License).
  • Any damage caused to the houseboat or its property by guests will be chargeable.
  • Illegal activities, drugs, or misuse of alcohol are strictly prohibited.

6. Safety & Conduct

  • Swimming in backwaters is not recommended unless permitted by the crew.
  • Guests are requested to follow safety instructions given by the staff.
  • Boat Bay Kerala is not responsible for loss of personal belongings.

7. Food & Menu

  • Food menu will be as per the package selected.
  • Any additional food or special menu requests must be informed in advance and may cost extra.
  • Outside food is generally not allowed unless permitted.

8. Child Policy

  • Children below 5 years are complimentary (without extra bed/food).
  • Children above 5 years will be charged as per the package.

9. Route & Cruise Timing

  • The cruising route and duration are fixed as per government rules.
  • Cruising usually stops by evening (around 5:30 PM) and resumes the next morning.

10. Pets Policy

  • Pets are not allowed on board unless specifically approved prior to booking.

11. Force Majeure

  • Boat Bay Kerala shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused due to natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or other uncontrollable events.

12. Management Rights

  • Boat Bay Kerala reserves the right to refuse service or terminate the trip without refund if guests violate rules or behave inappropriately.

13. Jurisdiction

  • All disputes are subject to Alappuzha, Kerala jurisdiction only.
